Degree:
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree that included a major field of study in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. --OR-- Combination of education and experience that included 24 semester hours in course work in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, AND experience sufficient to demonstrate that I possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform work in the occupation that is comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of a full 4-year course of study with a major in the appropriate field needed to perform the work of the occupation. In addition to meeting the basic requirement, you must also possess the experience listed below. For the GS-13 level:
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in federal service. To qualify, your experience at this level must show 4 out of 6 of the following:
--Provided leadership and/or guidance in the management of natural resources management; Implemented and executed the project plans for a natural resources program area or related area; --Coordinated the assigned programs and plans with other resource management functions; --Provided recommendations on development and execution of natural resource programs to ensure their accomplishment within applicable guidelines; --Participated on natural resource planning efforts by providing resource data information, advice and members of staff to help formulate long range plans for the functional areas of the program; --Prepared and/or assessed short-range and long-range functional resource and fiscal plans to ensure compliance with natural resource policies and regulations. For the GS-14 level:
At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in federal service. To qualify, your experience at this level must show 2 out of 3 of the following:
--Applying new scientific findings, developments, and advances to the solution of critical and highly controversial ecosystem issues for a natural resources program; --Planning and administering program activities and having in-depth knowledge of agency or company policies, procedures, and requirements regarding the management of a natural resources program; ---Providing leadership and/or guidance in the management of natural resources management Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
