Business Intelligence Developer

Overview
Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing data sources, metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. used to evaluate performance of employees & functions within the credit union such as branches, call centers, mortgage, underwriting, etc. Supports the analytics information mgmt. manager in the development of insightful and actionable business intelligence resources. Involved in full data life cycle development to support functional, managerial and strategic analytics.
Responsibilities
Determines relevant data needs and coordinates with Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and other IT staff to fulfill those needs.
Develop views, queries, and tables necessary to support analytic needs that conform and expand the EDW.
Work with analytics information manager and other staff to implement various reporting needs.
Develops an understanding of underlying corporate data sources and their relationships to support development of analytics and EDW.
Analyze reporting needs and requirements. Assess current reporting in the context of strategic goals and devise plans for delivering the most appropriate reporting solutions to users.
Designs, develops, implements recurring and ad-hoc business intelligence reports and dashboards.
Extracts operational, performance, statistical and other data from various information systems.
Develops applicable software applications to meet reporting and analysis needs of the organization, primarily to support company performance metrics.
Uses various software applications such as desktop tools, spreadsheets, report writing software, statistical software, graphical presentation tools, and BI applications to assemble, manipulate and/or format data.
Designs and develops recurring and ad-hoc business intelligence solutions such as cubes and dashboards, using industry best practices for presentation, efficiency, and user friendliness.
Designs reports to aid in the efficient assimilation of information by engaging exception reporting, traffic lighting, heat mapping, etc.
Works within controls to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality of all reports, views, dashboards, analyses and user data.
Implements new business reports within the established reporting framework, policies and procedures.
Assists and supports credit union personnel as needed.
Works closely with analytics information manager to interpret report results.
Analyzes, interprets and summarizes report results.
Participates in the interpretation and context of complex business reports.
Runs what-if simulations based on varying factors and assumptions.
Identifies exceptions, positive and negative trends and measures that are out of tolerance with established limits and ranges.
Identifies potential concerns based on projections of current trends.
Performs statistical and financial analysis of data and prepares reports for management and other credit union personnel on key observations and findings.
Qualifications
Must have prior experience developing business intelligence solutions in large or midsize companies.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and react to problems quickly.
Must be able to translate concepts and directions into practical solutions.
Must have experience in reporting and business intelligence solutions.
Must have development experience with relational database structures, multi-dimensional database, and data warehouse design architecture.
Experience with mobile deployment of business intelligence desired.
Must have experience with SQL.
Must be able to develop, maintain, review and explain data models.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be a team player.
Understanding of the financial services industry desired.
Development experience with Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SharePoint)
Experience with dashboard design and delivery.
Experience using Tableau Enterprise Reporting to analyze data and report conclusions.
Experience with Roambi enterprise reporting software desired.
Experience with Python and/or R desired.
Experience:
Three or more years of experience in designing, developing and implementing business intelligence solutions
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or other business related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for education qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
