Theatre Area Scene Shop Assistant
Job Description
Shop Assistant will assist Technical Director in maintaining shop equipment, inventory, and supplies; setting and maintaining safety procedures during scenic construction and in the theaters during departmental productions; building scenery for productions; and supervising and mentoring students in scenic and prop construction as they work in Theater Scene Shop.
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
BS, BA, or BFA Degree (Theater Technology Focus Preferred) OR equivalent work experience.
Advanced Carpentry
Metal Working
Leadership
Management
Shop Safety
Shop Maintenance
Prefer individual with experience working theater scene shops. Experience working wood shop or metal shop, theater scene shop preferred.
