Job Description
As an Estimator, you will prepare estimates for hard bid and negotiated work for commercial builds and build upgrade projects. Using your knowledge of all general construction disciplines, prepare conceptual and detailed estimates.
Responsibilities
Prepare conceptual and detailed estimates for negotiated and bid work
Read blueprints and prepare take-offs
Ensure effective communication and coordination with all parties during the estimate process, including subcontractors, vendors and internal company members
Recognize issues within various disciplines and correct conflicts
Work with Project Managers during the transition from estimate to build start
Qualifications
4 years of estimating/project management experience within the construction industry; commercial construction preferred
Effective in preparing conceptual and detailed estimates in all construction disciplines
Associates degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a relate field
Strong experience with Excel
Problem solver with excellent math skills
Organized, detail oriented and deadline driven
Team-minded

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
