Job Description
The Learning English for Academic Purposes (LEAP) Director is responsible for managing all aspects of the LEAP Program. The director oversees and is responsible for all administrative duties related to program management, assessment, recruiting, placement and advising. The director is responsible for building relationships with IEP providers within the state, engaging with the university community, and supervising all the LEAP faculty and staff. The director may teach courses when necessary.
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
Masters degree
One year experience in teaching in an Intensive English Program.
One year experience in student recruitment.
TESOL Certification
Seeking applicants with strong organizational, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
Preferred Qualifications include:
Experience working with High School or University level Intensive English Programs.
Demonstrated success in recruiting students into Intensive English Programs or other academic programs.
Experience working with a university community.
Intercultural knowledge and sensitivity.
Evidence of building innovative programs in an educational environment.
Evidence of successful management of teaching personnel.
Ability to speak a second language.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
