Job Description
Position will prepare financial statements and ad hoc reports with the SIS (Ellucian Banner/ARGOS or QuickBooks). Identify & trouble shoot accounting & budget problems. Make corrections to budgets, subsidiary and general ledgers. Reconcile accounts and work exception reports. Perform basic analysis in a team environment. Provide customer service in all aspects internal and external. Provide departments with basic information regarding budgets, transactions, financial reports, etc. Be an active participant in WSU and Continuing Education meeting the Mission, Vision and Values of the institution.
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field.
Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a closely related field.
Proficient knowledge of MS Office: Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Charts, V-lookup, If Statements). Understanding of compiling and reconciliation of data in spreadsheets.
Seeking applicants with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Strong financial, accounting, and database management skills with college courses in accounting/finance.
Preferred Qualifications include:
Experience in Higher Education with Ellucian Banner. Experience in enrollment services and/or financial aid would be helpful. Understanding of Quickbooks Accounting software. Skill working with databases. Mail merge Word Docs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
