Administrative Specialist I

Job Description
The ATN department Administrative Specialist will be a self-motivated team member with excellent customer service, organization, communication, data tracking, document preparation, modern technology, and multitasking skills. The individual will work independently and in a timely manner to prioritize duties including to reconcile and monitor monthly budgets and purchasing cards, process purchase orders, enter academic semester classes, prepare documents, disseminate department information, take meeting minutes, arrange travel, organize events, attend training, coordinate with University entities, and assist the department chair as well as faculty, staff, and students in a variety of administratively related duties.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Two years of related clerical/secretarial experience
Experience using PC applications (e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, Internet, database)
Seeking detail oriented applicants with the ability to organize, prioritize and complete deadlines with varied work projects in a timely manner; moderate to high proficiency using PC applications; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface effectively with a diverse clientele.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
