Job Description
Opening for a full-time staff accountant in an expanding CPA practice in Ogden, Utah.
We are a close-knit team that works very well together. Most of the staff members have been with us for many years but new staff are welcomed and quickly become part of the team! This position is for someone who wants a great working environment with stability and opportunity for personal and financial growth.
We are not just another CPA firm and take pride in going the extra mile to provide customized services to our clients.
Compensation is commensurate with experience, $52,000 to $60,000; plus a bonus program based on firm and individual performance goals.

Responsibilities
The key skill set we are looking for involves the ability to effectively problem solve and analyze data. The right person should be able to see and understand the big picture and spot inconsistencies and trends, then develop a plan of action to solve the issue. Excellent communication skills are needed to be able to convey problems and solutions.
Qualifications
Pre-requisites
a) 1-2 years of experience in public accounting.
b) Licensed CPA, or in the process of becoming one.
c) Audit experience with working knowledge of PFX Engagement software or other electronic workpaper applications.
d) Proficient with Excel & Word software.
e) Experience in preparing individual, business, and trust tax returns.
f) Experience with QuickBooks software.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
