Job Description
The Department of Microbiology at Weber State University, a dual-mission regional state institution, invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, temporary instructor position beginning August 2017. The primary responsibility of successful applicants will be to teach medical microbiology and introductory microbiology courses and / or accompanying laboratory courses. Teaching responsibilities could include some combination of the following: Micr 3305, Micr 1113, Micr 3403 and Micr 2054L (descriptions available at http://catalog.weber.edu/). Depending on department needs, instruction in the applicant's area of expertise also may be possible. The teaching load for these positions will be a 12-15 credit hours per 15-week semester. Some department service also may be required.
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Microbiology or related field.
Teaching experience in Microbiology or related field.
Commitment to high-quality undergraduate education.
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Microbiology or related field.
Prior higher education teaching experience.
Experience teaching comparable courses to those listed above.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
