Senior systems engineer (reentry support equipment replacement program)

BAE Systems will support the Air Force through Advisory and Assistance Support (A&AS) on the
Reentry Support Equipment Replacement (RSER) Program. The RSER Program is to
build a replacement to the current aging Low Frequency Instrumentation Console (LFIC), Radio Frequency Instrumentation Console (RFIC),Test Control Station (TCS), and Interface Adapter Units (IAUs) with a system
based on a common architecture, such as the DoD Families of Automatic Test Systems (ATSs) and new Test Program Sets (TPSs). which will be used to check-out MK12A and MK21 Arming and Fuzing Assemblies.
RSER Senior System Engineer will provide additional support to the ICBM
Systems Directorate Program Manager and Engineers. Support will span over the
design, development, integration, testing, qualification and deployment of all
Hardware and Software.
Responsibilities
Include:
1. Serve in the capacity of a RSER Senior System Engineer
2. Technical Requirements Development, Test Plan Reviews, Documentation Review, Drawing Review, and Acquisition Documentation Development.
3. Support the Government Program Manager and BAE Project Technical Manager (Engineer)
4. Provide technical analysis and generate technical inputs for program reviews
and decisions.
5. Provide highly technical expertise and guidance in solving complex hardware/software engineering problems.
6. Provide technical support of all phases of hardware/software design and analysis, development, integration, and implementation.
7. Support production phase through Full Operational Capability (FOC)
8. Support design, proof manufacturing processes of equipment, and production
planning.
9. Support Quality Assurance testing and sell-off as required.
10. Provide technical inputs at meetings as required.
11. Responsible for tasks and will be accountable for the technical quality,
content and results of the projects.
12. Capable of determining appropriate use of technologies in solving engineering problems.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
Required education: Bachelor Degree
BS/MS Eng., Computer Science, Software, Mathematics, or Physics
8 yrs (6yrs with MS degree & 4 yrs with a PHD) of progressive experience in systems integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/process. 2 yrs experience leading systems design, integration, and analytical efforts.
Preferred Skills and Education
1. Knowledge of Reentry Vehicle/Arming and Fuzing Assembly (AFA) Test Sets
2. Knowledge of Reentry Vehicle/ AFA hardware
