AvantGuard Monitoring Centers is currently hiring Part Time Alarm Dispatch Operators. We are seeking qualified candidates to join our team at our 24/7/365 monitoring center located in OGDEN, UT where you can be a hero everyday!
The job entails monitoring Security, Fire, Medical, Panic, and Environmental alarm systems that are installed in residences and businesses throughout North America. You will also interact with various fire, police, and medical agencies as well as alarm system end users and technicians.
We offer a steady and fun work environment with flexible work schedules and TUITION REIMBURSEMENT. We are located approx 1 mile from Weber State University. The position is all service, no sales.
All interested applicants must:
have experience using computers
must be age 18 or older
have experience in customer service
be able to learn new software quickly
be able to type at least 40 wpm
be willing to work holidays and weekends (includes Sunday)
be able to deal with difficult situations
have strong communication skills
must be able to read and speak fluent English
fluent bilingual Spanish is a plus but not required
be very detail oriented
have the ability to work in a fast paced work environment
be a team player
have a strong work ethic
be able to pass a drug test
be able to pass an FBI background check in order to obtain a Utah Burglar Alarm License

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
