Summary:
The Associate, Consumer Credit is responsible for underwriting consumer applications from Hyundai, Kia and Genesis DealersThis position is responsible for making credit decisions that meet acceptable underwriting standards within HCA's policies and procedures as well as adhering to all State and Federal regulatory complianceAll Credit Analyst responsibilities should be handled in an expeditious manner per HCA's KPI'sThis position requires flexibility and ability to adapt to a multi-functional departmental structureAll positions within the Operations Division are expected to collaborate cross-divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience; this includes supporting other departments as necessary to meet the business needDuties and
Responsibilities:
Analyze information from credit applications utilizing the four C's of credit to make sound credit decisions based on appropriate authority level, while effectively negotiating the terms and conditions of loan decisions via dealer phone calls or electronic rehashBalance the demands of Production, Sales Support, Risk, and Quality Assessments while maintaining established SLA'sParticipate in team meetings and Calibrations to communicate, share trends, review Policies& Procedures and team goalsFollow up for approvals and pending contracts to increase capture rate and monitor dealer's portfolioBe well versed in eContract and eRehash processesConduct Customer Interviews and investigations when needed to facilitate in credit decisions or assist in the funding processCoach and assist dealers to resolve funding issues and reduce unclean contractsPerformance Coaching:
Actively participate in coaching and development sessions/trainings to co-create solutions that enhance individual performance and overall department/team performancePerform all other duties as assignedQualifications Knowledge and Skills:
o Minimum 1-year automotive finance experience (Desirable) o Experience with Collections, Funding, Dealer Services, Lease end or Customer Service (Desirable) o Auto finance or related background is preferred o 2 years of experience in fast paced office environment o Experience with Dealer operations or Sales (Desirable) o High school graduate (GED), College Degree preferred o Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills o Analytical with high attention to detail o Self- starter with excellent time management skills o Well versed on company product offerings, reporting and measurement systems o Ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate both with customers and associates Physical Requirements and Working Condition:
