The Practice Manager provides leadership in planning, guiding and coordinating practice operations for Midtown.
Maintain focus on service and operational excellence.
The primary responsibilities of this position include but not limited to, fostering cohesion amongst departments, managing and coordinating the implementation of policies and procedures, scheduling, budget management, coaching, and orientation.
Provides supervision, qualitative feedback, and training to staff that promotes a positive patient experience at Midtown.
Maintains a safe and efficient environment of care.
Coordinates performance improvement efforts related to clinic systems and quality assurance.
Serves as a liaison between clinicians and support staff.
Ensures compliance with PCMH, OSHA, CLIA, State and Federal requirements.
Represents Midtown positively during interactions with vendors and community partners.
Interacts with the senior leadership team on organizational goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
Assists COO in the development and updating of support staff annual training and competency checklists.
Interface and collaborate with departmental directors, including, but not limited to:
medical, dental, behavioral, pharmacy, and administration.
Oversees and coordinates general facility maintenance including but not limited to:
landscaping, appropriate annual inspections - i.
e.
fire suppression system, equipment certification, etc.
- external seasonal clean-up, and all other maintenance unique to the facility.
Develops expertise in electronic health record system and acts a trainer/facilitator for the system.
Assists supervisors with recruitment, selection and onboarding of employees, personal development systems and any training or disciplinary procedures.
Collaborates with leadership to identify opportunities and deficiencies and initiates plans for decision-making and problem solving across the organization.
Directly supervises staff and collaborates with the clinic director team to ensure coverage of staff and providers for all locations in the event of a shortage adequate coverage for employee absences.
Maintains an appropriately staffed clinic through hiring and scheduling of support staff and providers.
Participates in interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training of new staff and ensures completion of 90-day new hire check-in process.
Provides coaching and feedback relative to performance, absenteeism, and conduct and works with HR when disciplinary action is applicable.
Works with Quality Director and operations in the areas of UDS, PCMH, OSHA, CLIA and other programs and initiatives and participates in meetings to achieve appropriate goals.
Assesses improvements made in systems or processes, efficiency, innovation and creativity as well as commitment to generating new solutions and ideas.
Serves as an advocate for staff to promote diversity, equity and inclusion to cultivate an environment where represented accurately and fairly, maintains a high level of morale.
Conducts performance evaluations according to organization's timeline.
Works with HR to coach and counsel staff on performance issues.
Communicates clinic changes and provides updates between clinic and administrative teams across the organization.
Ensures that all staff receive on-going training that promotes compliance with FTCA regulations, CLIA, PCMH and OSHA standards.
Maintains an inventory of medical, pharmaceutical and office supplies to facilitate ordering to ensure that necessary medical supplies are available.
Completes monthly deliverables by the designated timeline including facilities and emergency equipment checklists, assigned chart audits and quality control rates.
Coordinates completion of bi-annual emergency drills for assigned sites.
Ensures compliance with Vaccines for Children (VFC) program including training, inventory, ordering, storage, and handling requirements.
Recognizes staff excellence for assigned tasks and overall performance.
Adheres to budget as it relates to supplies, FTE, and contractual expenses.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Two years' supervision experience in a clinical setting.
Bachelor's Degree preferred Other skills:
Highly organized, proactive, attentive to details and goal oriented.
Ability to work with large data sets with guidance from medically trained individuals.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written, identify problems and devise practical solutions.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a desire to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Maintains confidentiality in accordance with State and Federal laws; Keeps information regarding practice operations, patients and employees confidential.
Ability to perform fuctions with minimal supervision and high-level of accuracy.
Ability to work independently and be self-directed and flexible.
Proficient in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
