Key
Responsibilities:
Works well in a team environment, able to multitask.
Coordinate with clinic staff to ensure a positive patient flow, waiting, and exam room experience.
Prepares patients to be seen by the physicians, and collects vital signs and testing as required by the healthcare provider.
Assists provider with collection, documentation, processing, and verification of information related to patient care in an EHR system.
Performs diagnostic tests and processes and enters results.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
Communicating patient concerns and needs to the healthcare provider provides timely responses to patient inquiries and timely completion of assigned tasks.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on the phone, in writing, and via email, as well as ability to exercise discretion on sensitive and confidential matters.
Ability to develop rapport and maintain positive, professional relationships with a variety of patients, staff, and Physicians.
Minimum Requirements:
Certificated Medical Assistant or successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Preferred Requirements:
Allergy testing and Immunology experience, willing to train the right candidate.
Two or more years of experience in an outpatient clinic or other healthcare setting.
Experience working with an EHR system.
