Bechtel National is contracted to Northrop Grumman to provide launch system design, construction, and integration for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) system.
This is U.
S.
Air Force program designed to modernize the nation's ground element of the nuclear deterrent.
This role will support of Architectural design development for the GBSD program project by preparing studies, drawings, specifications, and evaluation.
Full time presence on project is required.
Work with Civil, Structural, and other engineering/technical disciplines.
Preparation of original architectural designs layouts, details, drawings and specifications for buildings; including but not limited plans, schedules, elevations, sections, details, etc.
Conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the architectural work.
Understand and perform the standard architectural work planning, scheduling, and job hour estimating process.
Monitor and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Supervise, coordinate, provide technical direction and assign work to subordinate architects and designers.
Coordinate and integrate design work between the architectural discipline and other engineering disciplines.
Review and approve key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders.
Prepare procurement, subcontract requisition documents, and perform associated technical bid evaluations with award recommendations.
Prepares or assists in the preparation of cost estimates and quantity take-offs for architectural elements.
Perform code reviews and generate code compliance reports/ drawings.
Resolve technical issues with customers and construction.
