WHS was organized by a cooperative agreement between the Weber and Morgan County governments to serve as a local authority for provision of their substance abuse, mental health and senior (Aging) services.
We provide opportunities and support for the senior citizens of Weber and Morgan Counties to increase their quality of life and extend their independence.
Our programs are delivered with sensitivity to the frail elderly and those who have the greatest social and economic needs.
Weber Human Services creates hope and opportunities that enable all clients and staff to:
do the work necessary to become their best self and find joy through people, place and purpose.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to deliver meals part time to home-bound seniors and Weber Human Services program locations.
You will assist the Nutrition Kitchen in packaging and loading food in the van in preparation for delivery.
As you are delivering, you will exit and enter your vehicle up to 70 times per day, so it is important you are in good physical health.
You will be driving year round, so you may be subject to extreme hot and cold weather, and wet, icy and snowy roads.
You will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
You will need a valid Utah Driver License with a good record and a current Food Handler's permit from the local health department (we can help you get this if you do not have one yet.
) You must be at least 21 years of age for this position.
You will work with some of the best people in the world that make it their goal to give back to the community.
