67 an hour 11 hours ago 11 hours ago 11 hours ago Job Description Fostering Healthy Children Program (FHCP) Health Care Coordinator (Senior Registered Nurse) Do you have health care oversite skills and a desire to help Utah kids in Foster Care? Well this position with the Utah Department of Health may be just what you are looking for.
You will oversee the health care needs of children in the State of Utah's foster care system.
This position will ensure the children have their health care needs met, including well child care, dental care, mental health, developmental care, and other care as deemed medically necessary.
We will ask you partner with the Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS), Medicaid, and medical providers in seeing the child's health needs are met.
You can anticipate managing a caseload of approximately one hundred children's needs.
You must hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Utah.
This position is primarily for telework.
Note:
Must be a liscensed RN with a license in DOPL.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES As a valued member of our team you will be:
Assessing and evaluating a patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
Providing care oriented toward improving or maintaining health and preventing illness.
Providing clients with information concerning rights, options, benefits, services, goals and expectations.
Maintaining and updating patient charts, records, and information.
Providing consultation and/or expert advice or testimony.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Our ideal candidate will have:
Experience dealing with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tack and professionalism.
Ability to carry health care caseload.
Some pediatric nursing experience.
An attention to detail.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
A compassionate and professional demeanor in sometimes difficult or stressful situations.
PREFERENCES The following experience or skills may be of benefit to you, but the absence of them will not, in any way, exclude you from consideration.
The hiring manager may identify additional related skills and requirements as preferences in making hiring and promotion decisions.
Two years or more experience working in a healthcare related program.
Hands on experience working with children and youth.
