Summary:
Review requisitioning of equipment items from Defense Logistics Agency Distribution System (DLADS) to ensure the requesting organization has a valid equipment authorization established.

Experience:
Two years' experience working in a squadron/group/wing supply office or similar Government equipment maintenance position.
Essential Duties:
Conduct annual assessment and document results for all organizational equipment accounts.
Geographically separated units (GSUs) visits shall be conducted physically once every three years and may be conducted via telecom annually in the interim years.
Conduct out-of-cycle assessments to resolve problem areas.
Physically check 100% of in-use equipment listed on the custody receipt listing, and ensure all in-use checked is properly marked with the appropriate unique item identification.
Prepare a written memorandum for the squadron commander summarizing the assessment and listing the discrepancies found.
Provide squadron commander with corrective action on any findings within 30 days of initial memorandum.
Attend base deployment concepts briefings, and process transactions to deploy or transfer equipment.
Record all assets meeting capitalization requirements in Support Equipment Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) with the following data:
acquisition cost, acquisition date, serial number/unique identifier, and the fund designator.
The supporting documentation must accompany the physical asset throughout its movement/lifecycle.
Coordinate with Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) on all equipment transactions that affect the movement of equipment assets, such as redistribution orders and equipment transfers.
Ensure organizational requests that exceed allowance standard quantities or recommended changes to the standard are forwarded through MAJCOM channels for approval/disapproval.
Prepare and record all equipment turn-ins.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Complete mandatory COMSEC training when squadron has COMSEC assets.
Complete Block III Equipment Manager Course, or applicable equipment manager course, as required.
Must obtain Government Driver's license upon request.
Must have strong communication skills and be able to effectively communicate technical issues.
Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems accurately.
Must be able to operate effectively under pressure and possess a patient attitude to deal with a variety of situations and personalities.
The ability to listen attentively, speak calmly and document user problems comprehensively.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
