Summary:
The Infection Preventionist is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating infection prevention and control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
The Infection Preventionist will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to identify and prevent the spread of infections within the facility.
Key
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement infection prevention and control policies and procedures Conduct ongoing surveillance of infections and communicable diseases Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention and control practices Collaborate with healthcare team to identify and prevent the spread of infections Participate in outbreak investigations and implement appropriate control measures Monitor compliance with infection prevention and control policies and procedures Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to infection prevention and control Maintain current knowledge of infection prevention and control practices and regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in nursing Certification in infection prevention and control (CIC) preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in infection prevention and control Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to infection prevention and control Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare team Strong analytical and problem-solving skills INDLN125.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
