Manual Machinist
Job Title Machinist Location Ogden UT Pay Rate hour Reporting To Project Manager Shop Foreman and Team Lead Responsible For Completing assigned tasks daily.
Job Purpose To complete work on site in compliance with OSHA federal state and company safety policies.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Setup and operation of CNC Mill Press Break Plasma Table OR Vertical Band Saw.
Setup and operation of Manual Mill Press Break Drill Press Shear OR Horizontal Band Saw.
Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
Maintain proper identification of parts per shop order of processes.
Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
Remove burrs sharp edges tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with company quality standards and blueprints.
Fabricate parts that will best benefit the efficiency of shop flow and the job at hand.
Work in a safe clean manner while following OSHA ANSI and Company standards and policies.
Stay compliant with ISO AISC standards KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Must be able to work with government and nongovernment personnel in a professional and clear manner.
Be able to work with different trades and construction focuses to ensure a safe environment without limiting the trades ability to complete work.
Must be able to properly communicate over the phone and in writing to upper management to include Subcontractors Suppliers Onsite Staff Owners PMs Superintendents and Corporate Safety Officer.
Must have good work ethic and be willing to work as a team.
Be able to rotate job duties on other machines or working areas as needed.
Willing to learn how to operate new machines processes and possible assembly.
Qualifications Must pass government security clearance standards including background checks Must pass preemployment drug screen test if hired Good driving record valid license insurable through the company Be able to stand for several hours at a time Not afraid of heights Be able to work both indoors and outdoors Forklift experience minimum of years Can clearly communicate in person written and electronically Must be vaccinated against COVID or be in the process of being vaccinated Must be able to lift lbs.
Have a clear understanding of blueprints Able to read shop drawings Know how to read decimal measurements Use of machiningshop tools Tape Measure Calipers Angle Grinders etc.
How to use RPMs correctly Able to work occasional overtime.
Ability to problem solve.
Great time management skills.
Mathematical skill.
