Job PurposeTo complete work on site in compliance with OSHA federal state and company safety policies.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Set welding machines to setting best used for process being worked with WPS.
Emulate company core values of Honesty Hard Work and Innovation.
Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
Maintain proper identification of parts per shop order of processes.
Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
Fabricate parts to a tight tolerance that will best benefit the efficiency of shop flow and the job at hand.
Work in a safe clean manner while following OSHA ANSI and Company standards and policies.
Stay compliant with ISO AISC standards KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Must be able to work with government and nongovernment personnel in a professional and clear manner.
Be able to work with different trades and construction focuses to ensure a safe environment without limiting the trades ability to complete work.
Must be able to properly communicate over the phone and in writing to upper management to include Subcontractors Suppliers Onsite Staff Owners PMs Superintendents and Corporate Safety Officer when necessary.
Must have good work ethic and be willing to work as a team.
Be able to rotate job duties on other machines or working areas as needed.
Willing to learn how to operate new machines processes and possible assembly.
Qualifications Welding experience minimum years Have experience welding FCAW GMAW GTAW in steel and aluminum Must be able to pass inhouse skill test High school diploma or GED Certificate Must pass government security clearance standards including background checks Must pass preemployment drug screen test if hired Good driving record valid license insurable through the company Be able to stand for several hours at a time Not afraid of heights Be able to work both indoors and outdoors Forklift experience minimum of years Can clearly communicate in person written and electronically Must be able to lift lbs.
Have a clear understanding of blueprints Able to read shop drawings Know how to read decimal measurements Use of shop tools Tape Measure Angle Grinders etc.
Able to work occasional overtime Ability to problem solve Great time management skills Mathematical skill Many of our jobs are subject to federal contractor rules and everchanging regulations.
While ETS standards are in place for federal contractors preference given to COVID vaccinated individuals.
Once hired nonvaccination employees may be subjected to vaccination requirements related to the enforcement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement DFARS.
