The Director plans and organizes all veteran related initiatives and leads the department vision goals and objectives.
The Director will develop and maintain a welcoming and professional environment in the Veteran Services Center while also fostering collaborative relationships with campus employees community members local legislative leaders the U.
S.
Department of Veterans Affairs and other veteran serving institutions and maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with students.
The Director prepares and administers the departments budget and establishes protocols for overseeing daytoday operations.
Required Qualifications Bachelors degree with years of direct experience in an academic environment as a student service member advisor or other equivalent or combination of related management experience.
Preferred Qualifications years of experience in direct supervision of a multifunctional office managing a staff of or more.
Experience working with programs targeted to veterans.
Demonstrated familiarity with veteran student issues Federal and State Veteran Affairs and Department of Defense policiesprocedures and an understanding of Banner VAONCE Tuition Assistance and associated emerging processing systems.
