Maintain and repair diesel generators and landscape equipment ATVs hydrostatic pumps golf carts mowers and utility terrain vehicle.
Some light welding and steel fabrication.
Repair and perform service of specialized equipment such as mechanical gearboxes bollards lifts cable pumps and other mechanical equipment on the campus.
Take measurements test and dispense fuel to generator sets throughout campus.
Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Three years of full time work experience in the automotive repair field that includes two years of full time work experience repairing heavy equipment or utility vehicles.
A valid Utah Driver License is a condition of employment a fork lift operators license must be obtained within days of employment and Safety and Emissions Certification must be obtained within days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications Seeking applicants with the following knowledge skills and abilities Welding Ability to use diagnostic scanners meters testing equipment and electronics Knowledge of automotive lubrication and vehicle mechanical safety Ability to read blueprints schematics and wiring diagrams.
Preferred qualifications include Associates or Bachelors degree in an automotive field.
