Maintenance Mechanic

Must have thorough working knowledge of all packaging equipment setup and repair Troubleshoot all equipment malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner to minimize production down time Make major mechanical repairs to equipment to replace motors gear boxes bearings or other machine parts Use a VOM meter read electrical schematics and make the necessary electrical repairs to all packaging equipment Read pneumatic schematics and make the necessary pneumatic repairs to all packaging equipment with little assistance from supervision Fabricate metal guards brackets etc.
using maintenance shop equipment such as milling machines engine lathes surface grinders cutoff saws and all other necessary tooling to complete a job or project Provide oneonone operational training to all levels of mechanics on all packagingbottling equipment Make requisitions for spare machine parts standard maintenance tooling i.

end mills coolants saw blades drills and any and all other parts and components necessary to maintain a workable maintenance shop years experience in the mechanical field in a mechanic role or equivalent working with most aspects of machinery and maintenance procedures Ability to speak read and write English proficiently so as to comprehend equipment manuals information regarding hazardous chemicals and all equipment instruction warning signs and decals Familiarity with using a VOM meter and basic understanding of how to read electrical schematics Basic understanding of how to read pneumatic schematics Proficiency working with welding equipment and processes Knowledge of thread sizes and ability to use tap and dies Knowledge of both metric and standard units of measure Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift pounds and stand for an entire eight hour shift.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
