Quality Control (QC) Inspector
QC Laboratory Technician Ogden, Utah Direct Hire Role Payrate:
$55K/DOE Kelly Services is currently seeking a Quality Control Chemist for one of our top clients in Ogden, Utah.
As a Quality Control Chemist placed with Kelly Services, you will conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses or experiments in our client's laboratory for quality / process control or to develop new products / knowledge.
Our client manufactures and packages innovative health care products, dietary supplements, natural health products, foods, and OTC pharmaceuticals.
Key Responsibilities include FTIR / NIR.
Perform physical testing for both raw materials and finished products (density, pH, LOD, sieve, appearance, odor, taste).
Perform in-process review of all batch tickets to ensure that all entries are correct.
Maintain bulk finished product control sample library and bulk finished product retains.
Serve as back-up for RM (Raw Materials) Quality Technician - Blending.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or other appropriate discipline.
Food Technology Certification preferred or equivalent industry experience.
FTIR / NIR Testing with related equipment, software.
Demonstrated proficiency with manufacturing resource planning software (Microsoft Project), Excel, and Word.
Any Food Technology Certification is preferred Strong knowledge of and experience complying with the following regulations:
21 CFR 110 (Regulations for the food industry), 21 CFR 111 GMP for Nutraceutical industry (FDA Mandated Identity Testing for substances - nearly pharmaceutical standards) CANDIDATES MUST HAVE NO KNOWN FOOD ALLERGIES.
POSSIBILITY OF TASTING ALL PRODUCTS AS WELL AS DAILY EXPOSURE TO MILK, SOY, NUTS, FRUITS, AND WHEAT COMPONENTS.
