BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
To prepare complex drawings using computer drafting equipment or standard hand drafting techniques to communicate engineering ideas and information in support of engineering functions.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1. Prepares layouts and various drawings of components and assemblies, including mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics and system diagrams. Uses mathematical formulas to compute weights, load capacities, dimensions and quantities of materials.
2. Prepares final drawings of multiple views, checking dimensions of parts, material to be used, relationship of one part to another and various parts to the whole. Updates drawings to show revisions, deletions and changes.
3. Prepares tables, charts and graphs including flow charts and vu-graphs.
4. Prepares technical illustrations and paste-up work to depict parts or equipment for clarity and dimensional purposes.
5. Designs and makes various types of templates.
6. Maintains individual CAD files and logs.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned.
