IT Tech Level I
Perform skilled infrastructurestructured cable work including the installation service and maintenance repair and alteration of low voltage category cable fiber optic cable communication cable and other various low voltage cable systems.
Complete physical installations and removal of structured cable components cabinets pathway systems cable tray move equipment racks and related communication infrastructure materials.
Primary Roles Responsibilities Installation and service of low voltage category cable fiber optic cable communication cable communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems such as Category Enhanced Category Category and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems.
Evaluate diagnose troubleshoot cable infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary.
Perform upgrades and additions to cable infrastructure systems in order to increase functionality and usability.
Transport a variety of items e.
g.
tools equipment supplies etc.
for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at clients site.
Create and document time and materials for work orderschange orders using online ticketing system.
Create and process material purchase orders.
Have great communication skills with customers and coworkers.
Coordinate job with customer.
Complete task in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Maintain a good attitude and leadership skills.
Qualifications Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints architectural mechanical and electrical documents.
Valid drivers license and ability to safely drive company vehicles.
Heavy Work May frequently exert force equivalent to lifting approximately pounds and occasionally exert force equivalent to lifting approximately pounds.
SpeakingHearing Possesses the ability to give and receive information through speaking and listening skills.
Motor Coordination While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls and reach with hands and arms stand and walk climb or balance stoop kneel crouch and bend.
Abilities to drive and operate various types of lifts.
A Network andor Security certifications are not required but are a plus.
