Position includes Working independently or with web developers to build or update websites or pages Performing regular content updates Creating new features to engage prospective and current students Assisting and advising users of the university web content management system Staying on top of web trends and best practices while upholding university branding and website standards Using web analytics to understand and help improve user experience Other writingediting duties within Marketing Communications Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in communication English journalism electronic media or related field of study.
Two years experience in web content online journalism or professional social media roles.
Preferred Qualifications Seeking applicants with Experience using a content management system or other web development tools Strong copy writing skills including writing for public relations and marketing as well as journalism News reporting andor informationgathering skills Strong interpersonal communication skills ability to contribute to a team effort Editing skills including excellent understanding of grammar punctuation and information organization Experience with web analytics to understand and improve user experience Preferred qualifications include Familiarity with web coding languages like HTML and CSS Social media account management i.
