Proprietary System Support Technician Requisition Number SP Student Affairs IT Position Category Staff Campus Location Weber State University Ogden UT Hours Per Week Months Per Year Alternate Work Schedule Pay Grade N Salary Hourly Pay Rate FLSA NonExempt Job SummaryBasic Function The Student Affairs Proprietary System Support Technician will report to the Student Affairs systems Architect and will be required to install maintain and configure point of sales hardware and software for departments in the Division of Student Affairs.
The technician will provide onsite and telephone support for POS hardware and software and attached technologies.
Some after hours Division point of sale support will be required.
The technician must be able to perform assigned tasks effectively communicate well with others act professionally maintain a working knowledge of current POS systems and be mindful of emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications Education Associates Degree in related IT field or related equivalent work experience Experience year of concurrent experience in fulltime desktop support or working with two or more of the following technologies Microsoft Active Directory TouchNet Blackboard Sequoia or other POS systems networking standards.
Experience imaging computers Experience providing formal or informal training to peers and those outside of peer groups.
