Computer and Network Specialist

Individual will manage a wide range of support for computer and network systems for the divisions of University Advancement and Continuing Education (UA & CE). The individual will report directly to the Director of Technology for CE and will be responsible for managing the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and related activities of servers, computers, software, and network support. The individual will also maintain a software library, provide and install software upgrades, track licensed software, and maintain a small inventory of PC parts.
The individual will manage and maintain the multimedia equipment and computer labs in some buildings on campus and at remote locations (West Center, Center for Continuing Education, Community Education Center, Morgan Center, WSU Downtown, Center for Community Education, and Kaysville Center).
This individual will be responsible for all user data backup and storage on the local servers. Responsibilities also include configuring and maintaining VM Servers, SANs (Storage Area Network), and Zero Client hardware.
This is a supervisory position in which the incumbent coordinates interactive video technology for the University. Individual will set up and operate audio and video equipment including microphones, speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for Interactive Video Conferencing meetings, presentations, and classes. Individual must troubleshoot teleconference, and video production equipment as well as design, recommend equipment for, and coordinate the use of a multi-site video network and associated facilities. Individual will be responsible to train faculty and staff on the use of interactive classrooms and supervise and train facilitators to operate interactive classrooms and assist students and faculty. This person will oversee the maintenance and upgrading of all audio and video conferencing equipment.
Bachelor's Degree, 3 years additional experience beyond the Bachelor's Degree required in workstation, server, and network security; maintaining PC hardware and various operating systems that include MS Windows and Apple environments; network maintenance, design, and operation. 1 year experience with virtual servers or equivalent certification.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
