Welder I/Helper

Grind and clean up welds and parts. Fabricate and weld basic assemblies under direct supervision. This is a welder in training/laborer position.
Essential Functions:
- Grind and clean up welds and parts 85% of the time
- Drill holes and bevel parts
- Read basic weld symbols on a blue print
- Welding in various positions
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to pass basic plate weld test (visual and bend) within specified time requirements.
- Must be able to pass weld test in two out of the five weld processes used at Petersen Inc:
- S.M.A.W.
- F.C.A.W.
- G.M.A.W.
- G.T.A.W.
- S.A.W.
- Must be able to pass basic layout test.
- Must be able to make all welds uniform and clean, and complete work to customer's specifications.
High School diploma and or current trade school desired.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
